Ruth LaNorma Jenson King

August 24, 1916 — August 21, 2004

Ruth LaNorma Jenson King, 87, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2004 in Preston, Idaho. She was born August 24, 1916 in Logan, Utah a daughter of Oliver Adams and Thelma Vivian Blanchard Jenson. She was raised in Cache Valley and graduated from Logan High School and attended USU. She married Warren King in November 1940, they were later divorced. She lived in Grace, Idaho until 1974, moving to Logan. She has resided in Preston for the past three years. She was a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed being involved in civic organizations. She was President of the PTA and a member of the Home, Hearth and Health Club. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, raising beautiful flowers and sharing them with others. She served in various organizations of the LDS church.
Survivors include three daughters, Geraldene Nielsen DeVerl of Shelley, Idaho; Janice Wilker Craig of Grace, Idaho and Karen Andreasen Mark of Preston, Idaho. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one sister, Jewell Eddins Dempsey of McCall, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son in law, DeVerl.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 12 noon at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
