Ruth Harris

Tremonton - Ruth Sycamore Harris, 83, passed away Friday July 30th, 2004 in Mckay-Dee Hospital. She was born September 29, 1920 in Brigham City, Utah, daughter of Arthur and Jane Sycamore. She married Wilford W. Harris August 20, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Harris lived in Tremonton, Bothwell and spent winters in Quartzsite, Arizona. She taught Home Economics at Bear River Jr. and Sr. High. She was an active member of the LDS church where she served in many capacities.
She is survived by her children Cynthia Lock-Smith, Paul Harris, David and Beth Harris, and Mary Jane and Ed Shaw. 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also survived by her sister Afton Larsen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, one sister and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at the Bothwell LDS church Wednesday, August 4th at 11:00 am. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, and Wednesday from 9:30-10-30 am at the Bothwell LDS church 10350 West 11600 North in Bothwell.
Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
