Ruth Woodward Hansen, 92, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born October 3, 1916 in Wellsville, Utah to John B. and Amy Williams Woodward, the second oldest of seven children. She was raised in Wellsville, attended the local schools and graduated from South Cache High School. She married Nathan Seamons June 14, 1938. They later divorced. She married Lyman H. Johnson December 4, 1948. He passed away July 13, 1972. She married Clyde M. Hansen February 5, 1976. Over the years, she has lived in Young Ward, Logan and Preston. She has lived in Willard for the past eight years. Ruth worked at Sears Roebuck and Company for twenty-eight years. She also enjoyed volunteering in several service organizations in Cache Valley. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in many callings throughout the years. She has served as president of the MIA; as a counselor in the Primary presidency; and many teaching positions. Ruth is survived by her children: John Connie Seamons, Willard; Charles Arlene Johnson, Taylorsville; step-children: Sidney Hansen, Salt Lake City; and Trudi Cassella, Las Vegas, NV; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Fred Barbara Woodward, Louise Ross Nielson; and sister-in-law Norma Wes Marble. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the Willard 1st Ward Chapel, 80 North 100 West, Willard, Utah. Friends and family may call from Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Tuesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
