Ruth South Egli Tremonton: Ruth South Egli, 83, died Monday, August 26, 2002, at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 6, 1918, in Trenton, Utah, the Daughter of Raymond Everett and Mable Grace Brough South. She married Joseph Harold Egli on June 30, 1936, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died October 27, 1981. She lived most of her life in Penrose, UT. She enjoyed gardening, doing handiwork and doing extraction at the Family History Center. Her grandchildren will miss her kind, listening ear. She was a member of the Thatcher/Penrose Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had served in several leadership positions. She also served as a Stake Missionary. She is survived by her children, Marlene Newell Dalton, Layton; Harold Faye Egli, North Logan; Ruelen Jeanne Egli, Garland; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a brother Darrell William Sharon Lynne South, Providence; sisters, Barbara Paul Bandy, Twin Falls, ID; Winifred Sidney Hendricks, Englewood, CO; Edith Grace Richard Carter, South Ogden. Her husband and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Thatcher/Penrose LDS Ward Chapel, 11475 West 10400 North. Friends may call Thursday, August 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East and Friday, August 30th from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the Thatcher/Penrose Church.
