RUTH KENDRICK CAMPBELL Ruth Kendrick Campbell, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away on September 26, 2004 in Ogden, Utah following complications from surgery. Ruth was born on February 4, 1916 in Providence, Utah, the eldest daughter of George and Lillian Kendrick. Raised on the farm, Ruth spent hours working alongside her parents and enjoying the company and escapades of her 5 sisters. Through the years the closeness and friendship she maintained with her sisters has been a blessing to her family and to her many nieces and nephews. Ruth married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph Don Campbell on June 30, 1933. They were sealed in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. They were always seen together walking side by side and holding hands. They enjoyed taking rides through the canyon, horseback riding, working in the garden, making apple pies and spending time with their friends and loved ones. They made everything special for those they loved. She served in the LDS Church in various positions with the Primary, Relief Society and Young Women?s Mutual organization. She enjoyed the close association she had with her visiting teachers and home teachers throughout the years. Ruth worked for the Logan City School District for several years as a cook for the Ellis Elementary School. She has enjoyed the many children that have remembered her through the years. Ruth is survived by her son, Kendrick June Peavey of Tremonton, and daughter, Shirley Henry Aceto of Williamsburg, Virginia. Ruth has 6 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Fern Lyman Perkes of Ogden; Carol Don Smith of Logan; Donna May Merlin Bowen of Orem and Georgene Richard Saragoza of Sacramento, California. She was preceded in death by her sweet husband, grandson, Steven, and sister, Norma Monson. Funeral services will be held at the Nelsen Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 11:00 am at 162 East 400 North in Logan, Utah. Friends and family may call Tuesday evening at the Nelsen Funeral home from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm and on Wednesday morning from 9:30 ? 10:30 am prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Providence City Cemetery.
