Logan ? Ruth Beatrice Driggs Hansen, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2002 at the Logan Regional Hospital. She was born on November 15, 1911 in Driggs, Idaho to Benjamin Woodbury Driggs, Jr. & Emily Elizabeth Langton Driggs. Her growing years were spent in Driggs, where she attended and graduated from the local schools. She married Seymour Brigham Hansen on December 5, 1927 in St. Anthony, Idaho, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised their family of eight children. In 1942 they relocated to Salt Lake and then continued on north to Hyrum in 1975. Seymour passed away in 1982, prompting Ruth?s move to Logan in 1983. Ruth was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, holding many positions over the years. She was also actively engaged in temple work and genealogy. She is survived by two daughters: Lorraine Lee Giles, West Valley; Sharon Tony Reay, Paradise; two sons: Rodney Hansen, West Valley; Keith Carol Hansen, San Antonio, Texas; 27 grandchildren, and many great and great- great grandchildren. Her husband, Seymour preceded her in death as well as two daughters: Donna and Lenore; two sons: Jack and Eldon; and a granddaughter, Laurie Jean Hansen. Funeral services will be held at the Paradise 2nd Ward Chapel, 9060 South 200 West on Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at 12:00 noon with Bishop Roland Leishman conducting. Friends and family may call Monday evening, September 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and on Tuesday morning at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services.
