Ruby A. Andersen, 93, passed away at her son's home on Monday, April 11, 2005 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 8, 1911 to John T. and Maria Robertson Anderson in East Garland, Utah. She married Lester P. Andersen on December 4, 1934. He passed away on August 21, 1987. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple in May 1993. They were blessed with two sons. They lived in Bear River City all their married life where they farmed and made many dear friends.
She was a member of the LDS Church where she held many callings. She was also a member of the DUP. She worked at various places over the years which include Hamiltons and Mayfair Market Smith's, where she made many lasting friendships. Ruby was a wonderful seamstress, cook and people loved her cinnamon buns. She was a mother and grandmother to many.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Rawlin Sandy and Jim Patti both of Bear River City. Five grandchildren: Susie Daren Scott, Cindy Shane Butler, Jenny Pete Olson, Luke and Jaren Andersen, ten great grandchildren, one sister, Grace Mohr of Tremonton and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Les; granddaughter, Jacobi; her parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River City LDS Chapel located at 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and also from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday morning prior to the funeral at the church.
Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Ruby requested donations be made to the Primary Children's Hospital or IHC Hospice.
