Bear River City, UT – Ronnie Paul Keppler, 59, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at his home. He was born to Frances Laverne and LaVerle Delene Keppler. He had two brothers: Francis Dale and Teddy Lee Keppler and two sisters: Sara Jane Self and Martha Lee Keppler.
Ron grew up in West Corrine and Garland, Utah. He attended Box Elder and Bear River High Schools. He joined the Army at 17 May 27, 1969 serving a tour in Vietnam and was honorably discharged June 23, 1972.
He married Twila Ruth Yeargain and had two daughters: Shelby Dawn and Theresa Marie. They later divorced. He married Helen Risk and helped her raise her two sons: Eric and Phil. He married his first love, MarVan Anderson August 31, 2002 and they resided in Bear River City, Utah.
He was employed at ATK for 32 years. Ron was a collector of knives, arrow heads and Indian relics. He loved fishing and four-wheeling with friends and grandchildren. Known to his grandchildren as "Papa Ron" they were the greatest joy of his life.
Ron loved animals. He had several dogs in his life, but the lasts few years Odie and Harley, "his boys" have been a real joy in his life.
Surviving are his wife; daughters: Shelby Dawn Cody Bishop, Noel, MO, Theresa Marie Moreland, Pineville, MO; step-sons: Brady Britani Warley, Malad, ID, Brandon Sheryl Anderson, Phoenix, AZ, Eric and Phil Risk
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and his sisters.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton.
