Roger Layne Smith Bear River City, UT: Roger Layne Smith, 36, died August 4, 2002, in Brigham City. He was born November 20, 1965, in Provo, Utah, the son of Donald Dean and Loeen Fergus Smith. He graduated from Bear River High School in Tremonton, where he was active in athletics and choir. He attended Utah State University. He lived most of his life in Bear River City. He had lived in Brigham City. He was a member of the Bear River 2nd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked at Autoliv. He is survived by his mother, Loeen of Bear River City, brothers, Dean Staci Smith, Burley, ID; Steven Smith, Craig Smith and Kenneth Smith, all of Bear River City; nephews, Jesse and Zachary. His father preceded him in death. A private family service will be held at a future date. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
