Roberta Ann Pace

July 22, 1953 — September 23, 2008

Roberta, fondly known as "Bertie" by all who knew her, was born July 22, 1953 in Denver, Colorado to William Oliver and Anna Belle E. Heartz Pace. She lived most of her life in Colorado. In 2001 she moved to Sunshine Terrace in Logan, Utah to be near her sister, Peggy Sorrell. She passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at LRH. Roberta was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and especially loved the Primary, where she served in a number of wards. Roberta had a special love for animals, but especially enjoyed horses and dogs. She enjoyed watching movies and listening to good stories being read to her. Roberta is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Larry Sorrell; one niece, Abby; and one nephew, Chris. She is also survived by an uncle, Hilton R. Pace, Wheatridge, Colorado; and 3 aunts, Darlene Pace, Dallas, Oregon; Jeannie Pace and Ruby Holden, Pendleton, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her father in 1984 and her mother in 1988. Roberta leaves behind many friends—there was never a person she ever met who was not her friend. Her radiant smile and special spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 10:00 in the Smithfield City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com . The family wishes to express appreciation for all the love and care shown to Roberta by the nurses, staff members, and residents of Sunshine Terrace, the nurses of LRH ICU, and the nurses and social workers of IHC Hospice.
