Robert Lyman Zollinger, 66, past away September 30, 2004 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born to Lyman and Ruth Redford Zollinger in the home of his grand parents, on September 22, 1938. Robert was an Eagle Scout, and served as a scout master at many times in his life. At Bear River High School, Robert served as the FFA chapter president, and while on his mission was honored in congress with the Distinguished American Farmer Award. Robert served honorably in the Central States mission from 1959 to 1961. Upon returning he met his sweetheart, Fawnice Paige Hess. They were sealed in the Logan Temple on September 7, 1962. Robert & Fawnice began their life and dream of working the land in Thatcher, Utah. Robert was the hardest worker and could fix anything and saved everything; he worked on his farm till the day he died. He was one of the blessed few that actually got to do what they loved for a living. In the latter years of his life when he was fighting ALS, he was a comfort to many in his support group over the sixteen years he battled this disease. He lived life with complete integrity, and though his life was full of trials with many highs and lows he endured them well. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Catherine Elizabeth.
