Robert Henry Woodhead, 78, quietly passed away April 30, 2007 at his home in River Heights, Utah surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 18, 1928 in Twin Falls, Idaho to James and Hilda Woodhead. He received a degree in Pharmacology at Idaho State University. Immediately after college he served in the United States Air Force and received an Honorable discharge in 1953. Shortly after leaving the Air Force he started working in Jerome, Idaho where he met and later married Darlene Jackson on February 5, 1955. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on February 6, 1965. He was an active member and served in many capacities in the Church. Robert and Darlene were later sealed together along with their two sons in the Logan LDS temple on July 14, 1971. Shortly after their marriage, Robert and Darlene moved to Logan where Robert enjoyed working as a Pharmacist for approximately 40 years at Low Cost Drug and Smith?s Pharmacy. Robert was known to his family and friends as hard working and was successful in teaching that principle to his children. He taught true principles and instilled a desire in others to live by them. He supported his two sons in their many activities and never missed a football game, basketball game, or wrestling match where his sons participated. He enjoyed camping and instilled the love for the outdoors in his children. He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the restored gospel here on this earth. Robert and Darlene were blessed with two sons Douglas Connie Woodhead and Daniel Susan Woodhead. His posterity has increased to 11 grandchildren, Danielle, Fiona, Teri Lynn, Robyn, Benjamin, Kristi, Megan, Tianna, Ashley, Korbyn, and Steven, and two great-grandchildren Kalie and Bradley and 2 more on the way. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Providence Utah Stake Center at 800 South 600 East in River Heights with Bishop Troy Wakefield conducting. Viewings will be held Thursday evening, May 3, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E 400 N in Logan and at the church on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services.
