Honeyville, Utah ? Robert Merrill Davis, 69, our loving husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at home with his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Robert was born February 4, 1938 to Mable Gerber Davis and Owen Davis. He was raised in Wellington, Utah. Spent many summers on his grandpa?s ranch
Dad grew up with and later married his sweetheart Loraine Grace Draper November 15, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. From this union came four wonderful sons and two beautiful daughters.
Dad?s greatest joy was his family and times spent together camping, hunting and family activities. He enjoyed working on his farm raising his animals, planting a garden to share with family and friends.
He retired from Thiokol after 37 years of dedicated service.
Dad was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Honeyville First Ward.
He is survived by his wife, children: Kurt, Kyle Kathy, Scott, Boyd Terri, Kaelyn Shane Robbins, and Laci J.; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is his mother, Wellington, brothers: Keith and Douglas and sisters: Gayle Wallace, Cherilyn Piper and Valynne Spencer.
He is preceded in death by his father.
A funeral service will be held Monday, May 21, 2007 at 12:00 noon at Honeyville LDS Ward Chapel, 2620 West 6980 North, Honeyville. Friends and family may call from 5:00?7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 10:30?11:40 a.m. at the church. Interment at Honeyville Cemetery.
