Tremonton - Robert Sakhan Chhoun, 62, passed away Monday, December 12, 2005. Robert was born February 1, 1943 in Cambodia. He married his sweetheart, Thuy Khem. Robert came to Tremonton in 1996 where he secured employment at La-Z-Boy. One of his proudest moments was when he became a US citizen in October 2005. He loved his wife, family and caring for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking care of the house and yard. Robert loved working at La-Z-Boy and the people he associated with there. He was a member of the Buddhist religion. He was a Cambodian veteran of the Vietnam War.
Robert is survived by his wife and five children: Sakhoun Linda Chhoun, US Army Landstuhl, Germany; Mindy Cham Keo Chhoun, Rathana Surin Hap, Sakhoeun Khmith Sok Chhoun, Sakhom Samuel Cutler all of Tremonton. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one nephew, Bunheng Chhoun of Cambodia.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Friends and family may call Friday, December 16 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
