Richard Tanner Johnson (3/22/91- 9/20/19)
Richard Tanner Johnson passed away on the morning of September 20th, 2019 at the age of 28.
Tanner was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 22nd, 1991. He graduated from Northridge High School in 2009 and went on to pursue his education further at the University of Utah. Tanner most recently worked as a successful Insurance agent at AAA.
Tanner proudly served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman. Tanner enjoyed sports and excelled in football throughout high school. He had the biggest and kindest heart for anyone and everyone that knew him. He had a bright smile and one could always feel his Christ-like presence when he would enter a room. His famous “bear” hugs along with this kind heart will be terribly missed by those that love him.
Tanner is survived by his loving parents Gregg (63) and Tracy (58) Johnson as well as his siblings Jordan (33), Hunter (24), and Sydney (19) Johnson. Tanner is also survived by his nephew Lincoln (2) Johnson and his grandfather Richard (90) Johnson. He also leaves behind scores of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Tanner’s life will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 12 noon at Nelson Funeral Home (162 E 400 N in Logan). A viewing will be held prior to services from 10-11:30. Interment will follow at the Richmond City Cemetery.
Tanner, we will miss you so much that our hearts will never be whole again. Please send us the strength to endure your loss from your paradise in Heaven.
