A mother like no other. Rhonda Lee Miles, 57 years young, beloved wife, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend passed peacefully in her sleep on July 28, 2004. Rhonda was born January 20, 1947 in Los Angeles, California, daughter of William and Vera Marrs. She married the love of her life, Richard B. Miles, on November 28, 1975. She had been widowed for the past 10 years. Previously she was married to Lorin Max Pitcher.
She always maintained an immaculate home, always making others feel welcome. She loved to curl up with a good book or a kind hearted animal. Her animals were more than pets, they were part of the family. She enjoyed family gatherings boating, camping, and holidays with her loved ones.
The best thing she ever did was to bring her three children to Cache Valley. It is here where she lived out the reminder of her colorful life.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Penny Michael Wick of Lewiston, Ut; Michael Christa Pitcher, Boise, Id and James Pitcher of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step children: Shane Miles and Michelle Miles, one brother, James Marrs and two sisters, Linda Ray and Evelyn Means. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
