On the morning of May 14, 2016 Rhoda Fern Sparks Keetch, 93, completed her earthly journey with the comfort of her family surrounding her. She was a beloved, fun-loving, adventurous woman who danced her way through life, touching countless lives along the way, and loving her family, which was her greatest joy.
She was born October 30, 1922 in Dingle, Idaho to John Henry Stewart Sparks & Helen Charlotta Wilcox Sparks. She was the ninth of ten children, she also had 3 half-brothers from John Henry’s first marriage.
She married her eternal companion, Darrell Q. Keetch, on October 30, 1941 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised 4 children. Randall (Dianne) of Wardboro, Richard (Janet) of Laverkin, Kevin (deceased), & Michelle (Richard Tufts) of Logan.
She has now been reunited with her husband & son. As well as her parents, brothers, sisters, and more loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of 88 descendants. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints & held countless callings, serving with her whole heart.
Her funeral will be held in Montpelier, Idaho on Saturday, May 21 at 12 pm at the Montpelier 4th Ward Chapel, 485 South 7th St. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10-11:30. She will be laid to rest in the Wardboro Cemetery. Condolences & memories may be shared online at
