Rhea Louise Rhodes

Garland ? Rhea Louise Edvalson Rhodes, 72, passed away January 30, 2002, after a courageous battle with osteoporosis, lupus and kidney failure. Rhea was born July 1, 1929, in Ogden to Carl I and Rhea Bingham Edvalson. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1947. A life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various organizations. She married Blaine U. Rhodes July 28, 1949, in the Logan LDS Temple. She served a mission with Blaine in the Sydney and Sydney South Australia Mission from 1991 to 1993. She also served in the Logan Temple for 3 ½ years. She is survived by her husband, two sons, four daughters and a foster son. Mike and Winnie Rhodes, Brigham City; Roger Rocky and Rachelle Rhodes, Sandy; Ronda and Theron Ron Rose, West Jordan; Elaine and James Miller, Tucson, AZ; Karen and Neil Petersen, San Jose, CA; Elizabeth Liz and Dan Leonard, Pendleton, OR; Herb and Sandra Smith, Taylorsville; one brother, Ronald Edvalson Brenda, Kaysville. Rhea and Blaine enjoy 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fielding Stake Center, 4375 West 15600 North, with Bishop Jerry Richards presiding. There will be a viewing at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton on Monday, February 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the Fielding Stake Center on Tuesday, February 5th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the East Garland Cemetery.
