Reta Olive Hodson

September 18, 1924 — January 25, 2005

Tremonton, Reta O. Hodson, 80, passed away at Brigham City Nursing and Rehabilitation on Tuesday, January 25, 2005. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 18, 1924. Reta was the third to the last survivors of Bird Carr Hughes and Rhoda Warburton Hughes of Evanston, WY. She married Lyle Hodson on July 13, 1996. She was a homemaker for many years and has lived in the Tremonton valley for 29 years. She was also known for her friendly attitude when she was a waitress at the Cross-X. Reta made many donations to various charities here in Tremonton. She enjoyed writing poetry and took great pleasure in traveling with her husband, Lyle.
Reta is survived by her husband, three daughters: Rhoda Norene Bill Wilson, Las Vegas, NV; June Darlene Doyle Conklin, Lander, WY; Esther Marlene Gary Rothwell, Denver, CO; eight step-children: DeAnn Clippinger, Denise Manore, Janice Nelson, Jack Hodson, Peggy Cope, Pam Olson, Larry Hodson, and Lynn Hodson all of Utah; two sisters: Edna Adams and Mary Searsy; one sister-in-law, Rebecca Hughes; 64 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Benedict Kramer and two step-children: Lyle Blair Hodson and Douglas Hodson.
She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. The family would like to express a special thank you to the employees at VistaCare Hospice for their wonderful care of Reta.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah. Friends and family may call on Thursday, January 17, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home and also on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral.
Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
