Renee LeFevre Nuttall, age 55, passed peacefully to the realms of the next existence on May 7, 2005, at the Sunshine Terrace Foundation in Logan, Utah. Her release from this life came following a courageous struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born to William Darrel and Gladys Woodward LeFevre on October 26, 1949, at Preston, Idaho. Renee was the 8th and youngest child born to this union. Renee was raised in Franklin, Idaho. She learned at an early age the value of work and perseverance. The rural atmosphere of her childhood instilled within her an absolute reverence for God and the wonders of His creations. Renee was a young lady that followed her conscience and always chose to do the right. Being the baby of the family, all of her siblings treated her as a special gift from on high; which she most certainty was. Renee attended the old yellow brick Franklin School, which was located just across the street from her childhood home. Following the 8th grade she attended Preston High School, graduating in 1968. Renee?s father was adamant that all of his children have an opportunity for higher education. Renee harbored a desire to continue her education and thus attended what was then the Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho for two years. She then attended BYU in Provo, Utah for approximately another two years. She worked towards a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in art. As she was nearing graduation she met James A. Nuttall, the man that would eventually become her husband. She and James were married in the Logan Temple on January 27, 1972. At this time Renee terminated her education, securing work to assist her husband in the completion of his education. Following his graduation from BYU he was able to secure employment in sunny California. At his side Renee left the familiar surroundings of these mountain valleys to live in Stockton, California. She and James created there a lovely home, raising three children: Heidi Renee Rasmussen, Janice Kay Nuttall, and Jacob James Nuttall. Renee was a model of Motherhood, always nurturing, loving, and teaching her children. She was a fine example of a Christian woman. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in many callings in the local congregation. She loved her fellowman and loved giving service to others. She shared her talents with the youth of the church along with teaching preschool and working in the public schools. Renee saw the beauty in her surroundings as paintings. She enjoyed oil painting and water colors. Along with that she was an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved a good book and hearing the stories of people?s lives. In recent years she returned to Cache Valley to receive care for the debilitating effects of multiple sclerosis. Her quiet bravery and determination in the endeavor was an inspiration to all who knew her. She always had a ?Pollyanna? attitude and looked for the good in things. This movie was her favorite along with many others. People that cared for her always expressed their thoughts of what a special person she was. She had a smile and a listening ear for everyone. Heartfelt thanks is given to the professional staff at Sunshine Terrace for their kind assistance and friendship to Renee. Through their efforts she received comfort and care far exceeding the call of duty. The family wishes to thank Alpine Hospice services as well. Recognition should also be extended to her daughter, Janice, who has spent countless hours at her mother?s side. Renee was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Gorden LeFevre. She is survived by her children, Heidi Renee Rasmussen, Lake Stevens, Washington, Janice Kay Nuttall, Ogden, Utah, Jacob James Nuttall, Folsom, California, and by former husband, James Archie Nuttall, Stockton, California.
