Rene C. Hope passed away at home in Nibley Utah on May 21, 2006. He was born Oct 4, 1941 in San Diego, CA to Arthur and Golda Hope of Las Cruces, New Mexico, the oldest of five children. He attended USU and BYU and received a Doctorate in Physics and was a successful electronics engineer. He was a longtime resident of Manheim Pennsylvania. He married Caldonna McCluskey on July 17, 1964 and together they raised six children. She preceded him in death. Rene married LaVerde Morgan on Oct 3, 2002.
Rene was an active member of the Church of Jesus of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his life is a monument of service and love to God, his cherished family and his community.
Survived by his loving wife LaVerde, children Lezlee Heaps of Peoria, AZ, Kristen Ritter of Manheim, PA, Emily Cochran of Leesburg, VA, David Hope of Juarez, Mexico, Erin Stanley of Draper, UT and Michael Hope of King George, VA. Also survived by his parents, two sisters and two brothers, Vanita Bean, Marlene Jackson, Dennis Hope and Brent Hope Services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Nibley 5th Ward Chapel, 3701 South 450 West, Nibley, Utah. Friends and family may call at the church from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Manheim, Pennsylvania. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
