Garland ? Ray Housley, 83, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at his home. He was born September 3, 1922 in Garland, Utah to Samuel George and Jennie Richman Housley. Ray attended school in Garland and graduated from Bear River High School. He married Marie Neher March 31, 1945 in Bismark, North Dakota. Ray had worked at Fronk Chevrolet as shop foreman and later at Thiokol as a production worker. He enjoyed working on cars and loved to raise a big garden and work in the yard. He was a member of Garland Third Ward.
Surviving are his wife; children, Sheila Skinner, Tremonton; Shira Harry McMurdie, Tremonton; Marilyn Lynn Hulse, Roy; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; brother, Lewis Marianne Housley, Ogden; sisters, LaVon Call, Ogden and Ruby Fredrickson, Garland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cyril and Don; grandson, Zackary McMurdie and son-in-law, Kent Skinner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton with Bishop?s Counselor, Shawn Comstock officiating. Family and friends may call Friday, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30?11:45 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home.
Interment at Garland Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
