Orem, UT - Phyllis Haws Marble, 93, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in Orem, UT of natural causes.
She was born July 17, 1913 to Orlin Haws and Grace Emma Munns in Garland, Utah. She married Hyrum Marble in the Salt Lake Temple February 14, 1935. She attended school in Springville and Garland and graduated from Bear River High School in 1931.
She was a hard working full-time mother to her three sons, Haws, Gail, and Bruce.
She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings including Relief Society, Primary, at least one stake mission, and a mission with her husband among the Navajo Indians.
She was involved with the Garland Cultural Club, Bridge Club, Knife and Fork Club. She also worked about ten years and retired with the IRS in Ogden. She became a very good artist with painting plates and cups. Phyllis is survived by her sons: Haws, Gail, and Bruce, 14 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A funeral will be held Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held Friday, June 8, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Garland Cemetery.
