Philip Alonzo Pugsley

July 24, 1910 — February 10, 2004

Tremonton - Philip Alonzo Pugsley, 93, passed away at his home on February 10, 2004. He was born on July 24, 1910 in Rosette, Utah to Philip Roy and Louise Kunzler Pugsley. He married Elinore Daisy Mandry on December 23, 1937 in Ogden, Utah.
Philip grew up in Rosette where he worked for his father in the sheep business. He graduated from Box Elder High School and then attended Utah State Agricultural College. He completed an Electrician Certification in Chicago, Illinois. He lived and raised his family in Garland where he worked for Fronk Chevrolet, Box Elder County Roads, Germer, Abbott, and Waldren and retired from Johnson Construction Company in 1975. In1990 he moved to Tremonton.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a High Priest in the Tremonton 2nd Ward. He was a faithful Home Teacher.
Philip is survived by his children, James P. Pugsley of Tremonton, Sheryl P. White of Phoenix, Arizona and Daisy Daye P. Abbott of Salt Lake City, two brothers, Jay Pugsley of Burley, Idaho, Richard Carol Pugsley of Pocotello, Idaho, three sisters, Evelyn Monson of Salt Lake City, Eloise Charles Goodliffe and Bonnie Frank Hill both of Tremonton, one sister-in-law, Helen Pugsley of Rosette, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Rex Pugsley, two sisters, Edna Palmer and Klea Bishop, one son-in-law, Robert White and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Tremonton 9th Ward LDS Church. Friends and family may call between 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and between 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Monday at the church. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great, great grandfather. He will truly be missed.
