Peggy Aline McCandless Smith was born in Carrisso Springs, Texas, Nov. 6, 1933.
She passed away in her son?s home on Sept. 1, 2009, leaving behind sisters and a brother, children, grand children and great grand children who loved her and will miss her. She was a loving mother, a beloved sister and a good friend. She worked hard to support her children, working long and late to see that they had what they needed. She never met a stranger. Everyone she met was soon a friend. She loved to talk to people and had a gift for remembering everything she learned about them. If she could find a way to help someone, she would. She made friends everywhere she went. She found great joy in God?s creations and loved to be out among them. You would most often find her in the garden watching her hawks and talking to her squirrels. She spent early mornings out with her deer. She kept her kitchen well-stocked for feeding little birds and hungry grandkids. She will be dearly missed. May her joy be full as she is surrounded with loved ones into the eternities to come. God Bless Peggy, may every day be warm.
