Patty Yeates Egan

June 29, 1947 — August 15, 2013

Patty Yeates Egan, 66, peacefully returned to her heavenly home on August 15, 2013 after a valiant 3-year battle with cancer while surrounded by her husband and children. Patty was born in Logan, Utah on June 29, 1947 to Lowell and LaVone Yeates. Patty is a graduate of Sky View High School and attended Utah State University. She married her eternal companion, David L. Egan in the Logan Utah Temple on July12, 1968. Together they had five beautiful children. They have 17 adored grandchildren. Patty served faithfully as a visiting teacher, and in other callings in Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. She was compassionate and found joy in her service to others. She loved attending family reunions and traveling with her family. She
loved reading, writing in her journal, and tending her flower garden. She had a great love for music and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She loved attending and serving in the temple. Her greatest joys came from being a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband and best friend David and her children Rodney Miriam of Sierra Vista, AZ, Ryan Heather of Kaysville, Melanie Palmer Scott of Clearfield, Amanda Stott Greg of Logan, and Stefanie Jones Jake of San Jose, CA. She is also survived by her mother LaVone Yeates, Mother-in-law Marie H. Egan, and sisters Linda Cronquist Bill and Leslie Yeates. She is preceded in death by her father, Lowell Webb Yeates and Father-in-Law, Paul Egan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 19th at 12:00 Noon at the Nibley Stake Center 3701 South 450 West, Nibley, UT followed by a brief graveside service at the Millville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 18th at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, and on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:30am at the church.
