Owen Carl Anderson

January 15, 1914 — January 6, 2002

Owen Carl Anderson, born to Carl & Mary Larsen Anderson, on January 15th, 1914 quickly and peacefully was reunited with his parents, sister Lillie and brother Carl, on January 6th 2002. Owen graduated from Logan High, attended USU and then moved to California. There, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp. and honorably served during WWII. He returned to Utah and worked for the Bureau of Reclamation as a Civil Engineer for over 30 years, then worked for Cache County in the Recorders office, retiring in 1978. He loved to travel, enjoyed all sports and was an avid outdoorsman, golfing fishing and hunting. He was a member of the local Geological society and spent many hours exploring and enjoying the earth, looking for geode?s and gems that he magically transformed into beautiful jewelry for his surviving wife Ila Stone, son David Carol Anderson, daughter Linda Blain Otteson and sister Leva ?Pat? Hugo Patterson. His 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren enjoy these wonders too! Owen was a member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions, including a 2 year mission, with his wife, in the Logan Temple. We all love him very much and will miss him greatly. Funeral services will be held at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, on Thursday, January 10, 2002 at 12:00 noon. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
