Otie L Pool Savage, 87, of Garland, died Saturday, January 11, 2003 at the Bear River Valley Care Center in Tremonton. She was born on May 26, 1915 in Crystal, Idaho, the daughter of Elisha and Edith Estella Cosby Pool. She married Howard Eugene Savage in Reno, Nevada on July 16, 1934. He died on September 25, 1987. Otie lived in Pocatello until she was seven. She lived in Wheatland, and Mill Valley, CA., before moving to Gridley, CA where she attended High School. She married just out of High School then moved to Biggs, CA where she raised her family and helped her husband farm rice. After retirement they lived near her daughter and managed apartment complexes in the Bay Area. After the death of her husband she moved to Utah with her daughter. She loved to spend time with her family, crocheting, knitting, and reading. She was a member of the Women?s Club, PTA, and Eastern Star, and the First Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter ? Carol Ann Jerry Poulsen of Garland; her son ? Phillip Peggy Savage of Kalispell, MT; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother ? Morris Pool and sister ? Elda Pool Smith. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Oroville, CA..
