Orlin Walter Crawford, 51, of Hyde Park died December 27, 2011, surrounded by his loving family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born February 27, 1960 in Wenatchee, WA, to Orlin D. Crawford and Ruth Murray. Orlin served in the United States Army from 1977 until his Honorable Discharge in 1995, and deployed to Southwest Asia for Operation Desert Storm. After leaving the Army, he became an owner/operator for Werner Enterprises. Orlin is survived by his loving wife, Dawn and their twin daughters, Bella and Hailey; his Father, Orlin, of Salem, OR; Mother and Step-Father, Ruth and Donnie Murray of Wenatchee, WA; Mother-in-Law, Dixie Brown of Hyde Park; Daughters: Kym Keith of Reno, NV, Heidi of Belton TX, Tammy of Tacoma WA, Sarah of Billings, MT; Son, Orlin Jr. Andrea of Sparks NV, Sisters: Tina Virnig and Carrie Larson of East Wenatchee WA; and fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his half-sisters, Cindi England and Deborah Criss. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9th Ward, in Hyde Park on Saturday, December 31, at 12:00 pm. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main Street, Smithfield and also at the church on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery.
