Olive Veloy Swanson

OLIVE VELOY ABRAMS SWANSON was born on December 18th 1931 in College Ward, Utah, to George and Nettie Abrams. She was the ninth of ten children. She is survived by her husband Robert W. Swanson, their four children and their spouses; Sandy & Leslie Swanson, Ryan & Terryl Swanson, Melanie & Daniel Aiono, Marla & Paul Goldman, and 18 grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Fern Erickson and Wilma Hunsaker. Mom passed the morning of the 16th of June, 2008 in Smithfield, Utah. Mom was a teacher by profession, but was first and foremost a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She taught school in California for 35 years, but never stopped being a teacher; especially to her grandchildren. After retirement Mom and Dad returned to Utah to be near their children and grandchildren. Never has there been a kinder and more giving woman than our mother, wife and grandma. She always put other's needs above her own and will be remembered for her kind acts of service. WE MISS YOU MOM! A viewing will be held Wednesday evening, June 18, 2008 from 7-8 pm at Nelson Funeral Home in Smithfield 85 South Main. Mom's funeral will take place Thursday June 19 at 11 am in the Smithfield 1st Ward Chapel 175 South 100 West with viewing one hour prior.
