Norman Vernon Harris

July 13, 1938 — July 28, 2011

Garland � Norman Vernon Harris, 73, passed away July 28 2011. He was born in Thatcher, Idaho and lived in Grace, Idaho, Logan, Utah and Garland, Utah. Norman attended Grace High school, and Utah State University. Norman served in the military as a mess Sergeant. He married Bonnie Johnson November 22, 1957; she passed away March 18, 2007. He then married Joyce Johnson on June 27, 2008.
Norman worked at Thiokol as a foreman in the mix room where he retired after 36 years. He was an avid collector of pens, pins, clocks, coins, and baseball cards. He coached women�s softball and umpired games for several years. Norman loved to fish and to bowl where he won many awards.
Norman was a member of Garland 5th ward LDS church where he served in various positions. He was an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple. Surviving are his children Tammy Tim Cooper, Saratoga Springs, Utah, Bruce Norman Harris, Logan, Utah, Brenda H. Brian Davis, Murrieta, Ca, Peggy Adams, Ogden, Utah, Heather H. Tucker, Mantua, Utah. Step children, Jeanette Val Campbell, James Tammy Johnson, Jeff Wendy Johnson, Dan Tresa Johnson and Alan Misty Johnson. 11 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and two on the way, 19 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie and son, Kurt.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Garland Tabernacle, located at 140 West Factory, Garland. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, located at 111 North 100 East in Tremonton, and from 9:30 � 10:30 at the Tabernacle prior to services. Interment will be in the Grace Idaho Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
