Norma Wattum passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 in Logan, Utah following a brief illness. Norma Irene Wattum was born April 1, 1935 in Fruita, Colorado to George William Fuller and Vida Irene Maston. When Norma was seven, the family moved to Seattle, Washington where her parents and sister lived until their deaths. Norma met her husband Bill at Cleveland High School while playing in the marching band. They married on May 21, 1955, set up house in Burien, Washington and became the parents of three children: Joel Wasilla, AK, Kim Seattle, WA and Jenny Hyrum, UT/Kodiak, AK. A convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Norma was sealed to her eternal companion and children in the Ogden, Utah Temple on March 25, 1977. Norma enjoyed serving in her various church callings, including Primary Pianist, Relief Society Secretary and Ward Missionary. During her lifetime Norma worked for the Highline School District and also as the manager of Northwestern Glass Company Federal Credit Union. As the owner of a flower shop, she had many talents and hobbies. Norma leaves behind Bill, her husband of 52 years, their 3 children, and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Fruita 1st and 2nd Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 343 East Ottley Avenue, Fruita, Colorado. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita. Following services, a light lunch will be served at the church. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
