Norma Katherine Larson Keller

December 10, 1922 — January 21, 2003

Norma Katherine Larson Keller, died Tuesday, January 21, 2003, after a heart attack, at the age of 80. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 10, 1922, to Thomas and Catherine Larson. Norma was the second of four children. After high school, where she excelled in spelling and penmanship, Norma moved to San Francisco and worked at the UC Berkeley bookstore. On March 31, 1945, she married Charles H. Keller, Jr., at Treasure Island, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. The couple lived in Logan for their first few years and Norma worked for J.C. Penney. They moved to Los Angeles, California, where Norma was a Brownie leader and active in PTA. After moving back to Cache Valley in 1958, with their three children, Norma joined a bowling league, taught 4-H, Primary and Sunday School in Providence and worked for J.C. Penney for eighteen years. She was a great cook, had a wonderful sense of humor and was a force to be reckoned with. Perhaps above all, she loved being a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Keller, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Florence Larson, her brother, Eric Larson and her three children: Kevin Keller, Kerry Keller and Charlene Keller Douglass and by Kerry?s wife, Lisa and Charlene?s husband, Paul. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Michael Keller, Melissa Keller Sentz, Regan Douglass and Jeremy Douglass, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews and their progeny. At Norma?s request, the services will be: A viewing on Saturday, January 25, 2003, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at the Logan City Cemetery.
