Norma Kershaw Harris

Norma Betha Kershaw Harris, 87, former resident of Hyde Park, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006 at Logan Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Logan, to Moroni Edward and Nora Larsen. She graduated from Logan High School in 1937. She married Paul LeVere Harris on March 17, 1939, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She worked in many stores in the Logan area and for several years in the Cache County School Food Services. Mom was a queen in her home. She loved everything in its place and everything had a place. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Her family will always remember those hot homemade rolls for Sunday dinner and that yummy potato salad that nobody knows her secret ingredient. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in many positions. She sang with the Hyde Park Choir for many years and also helped with the ?Ol Folks Party,? an Hyde Park tradition. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She is survived by her four children, Paul LeRoy Harris of Pasadena, Calif., Tonda John Lamb of Lehi, Utah, Ed Nancy Harris of Bountiful, Utah, and Marsha Randy Balls of Hyrum; her eight grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Daren, Corey, Meghan, Danielle, Brandi and Casey; her 12 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Drake, Dillon, Colter, Emily, Derek, Devan, Shaun, Jacob, Hannah, Breanna, Jillian, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1981; a young son, Randy Scott Harris; her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, in the Hyde Park chapel, 63 E. Center. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 North, Logan. Burial in the Hyde Park Cemetery.
