Nellene Fabricius Hancey Born in Newton, Utah on Oct 3, 1928 to Knute and Orpah Fabricius passed away at her home on February 26, 2018.
She graduated from North Cache High School and worked summers at the Ogden Defense depot during World War II. On Nov 18, 1949 she married Spencer Hancey in the Idaho Falls Temple.
As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served in many youth callings, but her great love was genealogical research where she served 27 years as a missionary in the Logan Family History Library; later Nellene and Spencer served a mission at the Salt Lake City Family History Library.
Nellene was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sacrificing her personal interests for the needs of her family.
She enjoyed traveling with Spencer and especially enjoyed their trip to the Holy Land and as expressed in the words of the song, “I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked”, she too felt his presence there.
Nellene was 89 years old and recently celebrated 68 years of marriage to Spencer.
