Ogden–Nedra Diane Draper Covey, 75, beloved mother, grandma and friend passed away March 3, 2011 in Ogden, UT. She was born in Moroni, UT, March 24, 1935 the daughter of Rendell Kemp and Roselin A. Allred Draper. She graduated from Bear River High School, in Garland in 1953. She then moved to Burbank, CA and worked at Lockheed Air Craft and Hall Scott Electronics for 15 years. She married Wayne A. Ray and they had one beautiful daughter, Sheri Lynn. They later divorced. She moved back to Utah where she worked as a steno for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 18 years. There she met and married Kenneth A. Covey, her soul companion and best friend. He preceded her in death November 11, 1987. After leaving the railroad, she was a volunteer receptionist at Hill Aerospace Museum for many years. Her daughter gifted her with three beautiful granddaughters, Kylie, Shelby and Laila whom she loved with all her heart and enjoyed being with them anytime. She wanted to thank her dear friends from the Railroad who stuck by her through good and bad times after Ken's passing, Deb, Lori and Maureen. Also Dawna, who was very kind to her. "Goodbye Friends"
Her legacy to the world is her beloved daughter and granddaughters. How she loved them all. She is survived by her daughter Sheri O'Keefe, West Haven, UT; three granddaughters and youngest sister Sherrel Webber. She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, Husband, sisters, Connie and LaDean, Brother, Bud. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 11, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home Chapel 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT. Friends may call Friday from 9:30-10:40 a.m. at the Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. Interment will follow in the Fielding Cemetery.
