Myron Irving Seamons

July 29, 1918 — December 8, 2012

Myron Irving Seamons, 94, peacefully returned home on December 8th 2012 to be with his wife Catherine for Christmas. He was the father of four children resulting in 24 grandchildren and 44 ½ great grandchildren. He served 23 years and retired as a Major in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving a mission in Germany, and as Bishop in Colorado, and California. He and his wife also served a mission together in the Philippines. Myron's favorite service was as a temple worker in the Oakland Temple in California for over 20 years. He had a great love for music, children, and other people. He enjoyed greeting people and making them feel welcomed. He either had a hand shake, hug or kiss with those greetings. He is survived by a sister, Ann Shaw of Logan, Utah, son Brian Doris Seamons of Centerville, Utah, daughter Laura Michael Colson of Fair Oaks, California, son Jeff Carolyn Seamons of Roseville, California, and daughter Kathy Arnold Nelson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We are grateful and give our thanks to those who showed love, kindness and gave service for our father at Heritage Place and the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery with military graveside rites.
