Riverside - Myron M. Richards, 87, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the Bear River Valley Hospital, Tremonton, Utah. He was born July 27, 1917 in Riverside, Utah the son of Ralph C. Richards and Ethel Mae Ford. He married Nadine Ballard on June 2, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of the Belmont Second Ward where he fulfilled numerous callings including serving as a clerk in the bishopric.
Myron was reared and educated in Riverside, Utah and graduated from Bear River High School. He earned a BS degree in Automotive Tech Engineering from Utah State Agricultural College in 1943 and while attending college was a member of the Advanced ROTC Unit. He was a veteran of World War II. He was signed as an officer in the Division Headquarters Company Motor Pool of the 100th Infantry Division and served in the 7th Army in France and Germany. He taught high school at Bear River High School for 28 years and worked on his farm.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Craig Doc, Mark Jeanine, and Jeff, one daughter, Coye, all of Riverside; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother Joel and one sister Nina. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jeanine; three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Belmont Second Ward church Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East Tremonton, Utah and Wednesday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the Belmont Second Ward church 16925 North 5200 West in Riverside.
Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Riverside, Utah. Military honors by the Combined Veterans of Box Elder County.
