Muriel A. Sorenson
Bear River City- Muriel R. Anderson Sorenson, 93, passed away Friday, July 29, 2005 at Brigham City Nursing and Rehab.
She was born July 13, 1912 in the family home, a daughter of Nephi and Ana Margretha Anderson. She was the last survivor of 9 brothers and sisters. She attended Bear River Elementary and Bear River High School.
She married Leonard Sorenson on December 1, 1932 in Logan, Utah.
She loved working in her gardens and her home and fishing with her sister Pearl. Her special joy was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her three daughters; Linda Kay Harry Johnson of Garland, Margaret Ann Maggie Hall of Ogden, and Sandra Emerson Eames of Millville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 9 brothers and sisters, and son Gerald L. Sorenson, and a daughter in-law, Joan LaRaye; and one grandson Dennis Hall.
She has 16 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at the Brigham City Community Hospital and Brigham City Nursing and Rehab for their loving care and support. Also, a very special thanks to Dr. John Markeson, who always brightened her day.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, at 11:00 am at the Bear River City Chapel, 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City. There will be a viewing Monday, August 1, from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, in Tremonton, also from 9:30 to 10:30 before the funeral service. Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetery.
