Michael Joseph Eames

February 1, 1971 — March 4, 2010

Michael Joseph Eames, beloved youngest child of Richard and Sharell Eames, peacefully passed away at his home in Providence on Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2010. He was born February 1, 1971, in Logan, Utah. Michael loved his dogs, his Xterra, his iPod and his cell phone, making first tracks in new snow, couloirs, alpenglow, and his ?beloved mountains;? his most beloved Zackary, Abby, Stefani, and Amanda; Boyd and Angie?s kids; his Grandpa and Grandma Eames, his Grandpa and Grandma Baird, and his Uncle Theron; books and poetry, golfing with his dad, the E.R. staff at Logan Regional Hospital, ?the home boys,? setting a new climbing route, writing in his journal, the DI, the cabin at Bear Lake, and a good night?s sleep. Michael knew and loved the Savior. He was called to serve in the Ohio, Columbus Mission, but health problems forced him to return home. His life exemplified Gospel principles. He looked, really looked, for opportunities to be of service. He once gave his last $20 to a stranded couple. He lived a happy and full life in spite of many health issues and constant pain from daily migraine headaches and eleven knee surgeries. We thank so many nurses and doctors from Las Vegas to Logan who have valiantly practiced their gifts of healing and love. We turn him over to those who love him in the spirit world. ?I can do this,? he wrote in August of 2009. We can do it, too. He is survived by his grateful parents; his influential example and older brother and his family, David, Heather, Stefani, Abby, and Zackary Eames of Providence; his ?rock? and sister and her family, Jamie, Karen, and Amanda Johnson of Gilbert Arizona; his Grandma Evelyn Baird of Logan, loving aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Heidi Mills. His uncle Theron Baird, his Grandpa and Grandma Eames, and his Grandpa Baird preceded him in death. The family will welcome family and friends on Monday, March 8, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. The funeral services for MJE will be held Tuesday, March 9, at the Providence Second Ward, 309 South Main, Providence where the family will again meet family and friends from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. with the services following at 12:00 noon. The family would welcome donations to the Migraine Research Support, Clinical Neuroscience Center, 50 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84132, in honor of Michael.
