August 9, 1921 — March 26, 2011

Tremonton-Mich Fukui, loving husband, grandfather, friend and "PRECIOUS DAD" said his goodbyes and began his next journey on March 26, 2011. Mich was born August 9, 1921 to Guichi Ben and Shigeno Tanabe Fukui in Tremonton. He was raised in Tremonton, graduated from Bear River High School and then attended Weber State College. Mich served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe. He married Kiyoko Shigeta January 28, 1948 in the Honeyville Buddhist Temple. Mich lived his entire life in the valley he loved. He will be remembered for his passion for farming. He lived a life that spanned a period from horse and plow to computerized farming.
Mich touched the lives of many with his quiet and generous mannerisms. Family was the highlight of his life. Mich's focus was always for others and their welfare. He loved, encouraged and constantly supported all of his family in their endeavors and took great joy in their accomplishments. He had a special relationship with all his grandchildren.
Mich left a legacy of hard work, love of family and friends and caring for the land he farmed. He will leave a great void in our hearts. The last several years he was known for his great garden. Tomatoes and Corn will never taste the same again.
