Merle Burton Isaacson, 85, passed away April 8th 2016 at home.
He was born July 11th 1930 to John Lewis and Marie Charity Isaacson in Tremonton Utah.
At the age of 18 he joined the military and served in the Korean War, serving 6 years.
After returning from Korea he met his wife Marie Celia Davenport and on June 27th 1955 they were married in the Logan LDS Temple. Merle enjoyed being outdoors with his family hunting, fishing and most of all the horseback riding into the back country. He was a great provider for his family he worked for 37 years for LeGrand Johnson construction company until retiring. When his wife was diagnosed with Alzheimers he promised her that he would take care of her and he did just that for over 10 years. He is survived by his children Guy (Tammy) Isaacson Nibley, Don (Kim) Isaacson Providence, Rex Isaacson, Logan and Tina Turnquist, Hyrum, 2 sisters, Connie Leishman, Smithfield, Donna Nielsen, West Jordan, 11 grand children and 21 great children. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 15, at noon at Nelson Funeral Home (162 E. 400 N.) with a visitation from 10:30-11:30. Condolences & memories may be shared at
