Max Wilson Kunzler

Max Wilson Kunzler, 88, died Monday, November 20, 2006 at his son?s home in Farmington, UT of causes incident to age.
He was born January 26, 1918 in Salt Lake City, UT to Charles Edward and Elsie Pugsley Kunzler.
He lived his entire life in Park Valley, UT where he worked with his father, brother and sons on the family ranch raising sheep and cattle. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1936.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre for five years during World War II. He was awarded two bronze stars for uncommon valor. He was a great patriot and loved the American Flag and his country. It was important to him that his posterity share this same love and respect.
He married Phyllis Udy April 17, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together, they raised seven children. She died February 18, 1999.
He was a High Priest in the Park Valley Ward. He served in numerous church positions including bishoprics, scouting, High Priests and an ordinance worker in the Logan Temple.
He served as a director in the Federal Land Bank for many years. He was an active member of the community and a friend to everyone ? he never met a stranger. He enjoyed his family and friends. Max will always be remembered for his work ethic, his unconditional love, his mild manner, and his endless patience.
Max is survived by his children: JoAnn Andrew Griffiths, MarLyn Rod Boam, Burt Shelly Kunzler, Kerma Steven Williamson, Ross Karen Kunzler, Kerry Racheale Kunzler, and Kelly Linda Kunzler, 27 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a sister, Guenna Ken Yost. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Roy, and sister, Lois Larsen.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Park Valley Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton Friday, November 24, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the Church Saturday from 10:30-11:40 a.m. Interment at Park Valley Cemetery with military honors.
The family suggests donations to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund.
Dad, thank you for your life, your example, your patience, and for being the best dad ever.
