Max Bywater

March 22, 1935 — July 21, 2003

East Garland ? Max Bywater, 68 returned to his Heavenly Father on July 21, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. Max was the fourth son of Milton Alfred and Lilas Mary Simper Bywater born on April 22, 1935 in Brigham City, Utah. He grew up on the family farm in Bear River City and graduated from Box Elder High School. He married Roberta Rose Pritchard on June 2, 1966. Their marriage was later solemnized on June 2, 1969 in the Logan LDS Temple. He made his home in East Garland on a farm. Max was a very hard worker and he taught his children the importance of this value. He worked at Thiokol for 29 years as a millwright. After his retirement he drove bus for Box Elder School District. Max had a love for animals and enjoyed many activities in his life he was a member of the Golden Spike Cutter Racing Association, 4-H leader, Box Elder County Sheriff?s Posse, Bear River High School Rodeo Advisor, Board of Director of Utah Stock Dog Association. Through these activities he touched many lives both young and old. He was an active member of the East Garland Ward where he served as a Scout Leader, High Priest, Secretary and Teacher. He was in the Elder?s Quorum Presidency. He served two missions with his wife Roberta to the Nauvoo, Illinois Pageant and the Ogden Cannery. He is survived by his wife Roberta Rose Pritchard Bywater and children, Michele Bill Bowden, Perry, Rodney M. Becki Bywater, Fielding, Chris A. Cali Bywater, Garland, Karen Travis Nelson, Elwood, Ryan Sandy Jo Bywater, Tremonton, Bryan Erika Bywater, Tremonton. 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brothers: Milton S. Marie Bywater, Marvin Carolyn Bywater, Harold Marchene Bywater, Darwin Darla Bywater and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Davis Bywater, parents and father-in-law William M. Pritchard.
The funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fielding, Utah LDS Stake Center located at 4375 West 15600 North, Fielding. The viewing will be held Friday, July 25, 2003 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday, July 26, 2003 from 11:30-12:30 at Fielding LDS Stake Center.
Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heart felt thanks to Max?s doctors and Hospice Nurses.
