Beaver Dam, UT – Maurine Potter Bowen, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008. She was born October 31, 1926 in Honeyville to George William and Ethel Madson Potter. She married Grant Weyerman Bowen in the Logan LDS Temple May 1946.
Maurine was a professional artist, winning many awards. She loved all types of crafts and woodworking. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in all church auxiliaries.
Surviving are her husband, children: Bill D. Bowen, Pinetop, AZ, Kathleen Aaron Barson, Layton and Larry Grant Vonda Bowen, Beaver Dam; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Jacqueline Roy Schultz, Sandy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Billy Darrell Potter.
A funeral service will be held Monday, March 3, 2008 11:00 a.m. at Beaver Ward Chapel, 16025 North Beaver Dam Road, Beaver Dam with Bishop Randy C. Bowcutt officiating. Friends and family may call Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment at Beaver Dam Cemetery.
