Matthew Gordon Godfrey

Matthew Gordon Godfrey, age 28, beloved father, husband, son, & brother returned home to his Heavenly Father on November 8, 2009. He was born in Logan, Utah on September 3, 1981. He spent most of his life in Cache Valley and part of his teenage years in Laughlin, NV. He was a dedicated father, husband, son, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, bass fishing, golfing, camping, and spending time enjoying the outdoors. Matthew was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-Day Saints in June of 2008 and was actively involved in the church. He was recently preceded in death by his father, D. Gordon Godfrey. He is survived by his wife, Tammi Lynn Godfrey; children: Damen, Dillan, Jayden, & Sierra; mother, Linda Elwood Hallmark Mike; brothers: Eric Nicole Godfrey, Ian W. Sindt; & numerous extended family members. He was deeply cherished and will be greatly missed. Matthew had a heart bigger than he was and thoroughly enjoyed lending a helping hand wherever needed. He always put his family first. Under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home, the viewing will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 11:30am-12:30pm with funeral services to follow at 1 pm at the Willow Valley Ward meetinghouse on 825 N 200 W in Logan.
