Mary Dewey Waldron

March 22, 1912 — September 23, 2009

Mary Dewey Waldron, 97, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at her residence in Tremonton. She was born March 22, 1912, in Deweyville, Utah, the daughter of Charles Jesse and Constant Ann Eggleston Dewey. She married Nello "Ned" Bowen Waldron on November 28, 1935, and they were sealed in the Logan Temple. Ned passed away February 4, 1999.
Mary was reared and educated in Deweyville/Tremonton and attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City after High School. She kept books for an oil refining business, a plastering company, helped the CPA who lived next door with taxes, and set up Ned's nephew's books at his law firm. Ned and Mary returned to Tremonton in 1975 after a great 40 years in Arlington, Virginia.
During her years in Virginia, Mary held every church auxiliary position available with her favorite being Stake Primary President.
Surviving are two daughters: Connie W. Nyman, Cedar City, UT; Carolyn W. Jerry L. Jones, Nampa, Idaho; Grandchildren: Christa Alan Cardon, Gregory W. DaNel Jones, Connie J. Keven Coyle; Kyle L. Melissa Jones, and Lindsay J. Matt Muse; Great Grandchildren: Traci Denim Day, Jim, Crystal, Kayla, McKay, Nathan, Blake, Kayli, and Avery; Great Great Grandchildren: Drayton and Journi Day. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned; one sister, Virginia D. Blackham; and two brothers, Myrle and J. Odell. Special thanks are given by the family to a wonderful and loving friend who has lived with Mary for the past 2 ½ years, Asena Itaaehau.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 26, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton LDS Stake Center, 660 North 300 East, Tremonton. Friends may call Friday, September 25, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday at the church from 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
