Mary Ward passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2004 in Logan, Utah at Sunshine Terrace surrounded by her family. She was born on January 3, 1921 in Logan, Utah, the tenth of twelve children born to Elizabeth Rawson Spiers and Edwin Spiers. She married Howard T. Ward on November 19, 1947 in Reno, Nevada. She spent most of her life in Bloomington, Idaho and Logan, Utah. She loved flowers and gardening and was an avid seamstress, sewing and decorating her home. She also spent many years making dolls by hand. She was a homemaker and raised a much loved family. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her three daughters: Suzie Ron Gustaveson; Carolee Ed Parker; and Jan Robert Wimmer, as well as seven grandchildren: Kim Quick, Jenna Huss, Jodie Haycock, Elliot Gustaveson, Malika Wimmer, Kendra Wimmer and Kali Wimmer; nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Peterson and Reva Bunderson; plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, a granddaughter, a great grandson, five brothers and four sisters. Memorial services will be held at the Logan City Cemetery Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
