Mary Louise Dalton Call passed away incident to old age on October 24, 2005. She would have turned 99, November 21. Mary was born in Birmingham, Michigan, November 21, 1906. After a serious illness of pneumonia at age 2, her family moved to Idaho for her health. She grew up on a ranch near Meridian, Idaho, where her father, Isaac Lee Truax, had a large apple orchard business. While in high school she met her future husband, Clyde E. Dalton. In 1922, her family moved back to Michigan. Mary?s sweetheart followed her to Michigan and they were married September 12, 1923 in Flint, Michigan. Less than a year later, Mary joined the LDS Church and they were later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple. She has remained a faithful member all 81 years since. She served as a visiting teacher until just 9 days before her 97th birthday. She also served as Relief Society President two times. She held many church callings and with her husband served as a stake missionary. Mary and Clyde had a family of 3 boys and 2 girls: Lee T. Dalton, John M. Dalton, David D. Dalton deceased; Margaret Dalton Showalter and Karen Dalton Lamparter. Mary?s greatest joy was her family. She had over 70 direct descendants. Mary and Clyde moved from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to Los Altos, California in 1955. Clyde passed away in 1973. She then married on her 75th birthday, Justin B. Call of Salt Lake City, Utah; and relocated to Salt Lake City. Justin passed away in 1990. She lived in SLC until September 2000 and moved to Williamsburg Retirement Center in Logan, Utah until November 2003. Because of declining years, her family moved her into the private home of Jean Earl, near her daughter Margaret?s home. Here she received special loving care until her passing away. She was loved by every one that knew her and she loved every one. She did not have an enemy in this world. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Ethel Vallier and Isaac Lee Truax; husbands: Clyde and Justin; sisters: Elizabeth Charles Sanft, Margaret Oscar Brede and a son, David Becky Dalton. She is survived by her sons: Lee Julie Dalton of Redding, Ca and John Sally Dalton of Fairview, Utah and daughters: Margaret Donald Showalter of Logan, Utah and Karen Gene Lamparter of Cambria, Ca. Funeral services will be held in the Logan 8th Ward chapel, 325 Lauralin Drive, Logan, Utah at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 31with Bishop R. Mark Firth conducting the services. There will be a viewing at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Grace, Idaho Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
