Smithfield - Mary Kathryn Murphy Roskelley Kaye, 90, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 7, 1917 to Jesse and Mary Smith Murphy in Logan. Kaye graduated from Logan High School and has lived in Logan and Smithfield. She married Keith Roskelley on June 8, 1938 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised their family of five children. At the time of Keith's passing, they had been married 50 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed serving in many callings, including girls? sports director and secretary for the Young Women. She was an example of faith and dedication. Kaye loved cooking, quilting, crocheting and bowling. Her family took precedence in her life and she loved each and everyone of them dearly. She will be truly missed. She is survived by her four children: Linda Wayne Pickett, Smithfield; Ron Roskelley, Smithfield; Ruth Roger Owen, Preston, Idaho; and Al Roskelley, Smithfield; 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren with1 great-great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by two sisters: Lola Eldon Hansen and Carol Joyce Lisonbee. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith; children: an infant daughter and a daughter, Nancy; two grandsons: Doug Roskelley and Kent Pickett; sisters: Eva Larson, Margaret Tams, Dorothy Church; and two brothers: Jesse and Robert Murphy. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Smithfield City Cemetery, Smithfield, Utah. Friends and family may visit the family Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield.
